Detectives investigating an aggravated burglary in Great Boughton are appealing for information from members of the public.
Two men, armed with knives, forced their way through the back door of a house on Hunts Close and confronted the occupant inside.
They then searched the property and stole a mobile phone and jewellery before leaving the area in a vehicle.
The burglary occurred at around 10pm on Wednesday 27 April.
Enquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the burglary or have CCTV or dash cam footage to get in touch.
Detective Constable Emma Flanagan, of Chester local policing unit, said: “These men left the occupant shaken but thankfully she didn’t sustain any injuries.
“We are now making enquiries to establish who these men are and appealing for the public to come forward with information.
“If you saw any vehicles which were out of place in the area or saw two men acting suspiciously please get in touch.
“I’d also ask residents to check their CCTV and dash cam footage and to contact us if it could be of use to our investigation.”
If you have information please contact Cheshire Constabulary online quoting IML 1255706 or call 101.
Information can also be provided anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
