Appeal for information following ATM attack in Warrington

Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following an ATM attack at a supermarket in Warrington.
At around 2am on Saturday 30 April a dark grey car parked near to the front of the Sainsbury’s Store on Church Street. The vehicle had been in and around the Sainsbury’s from around midnight.
Two men then got out of the car and the pair gained entry into the store after making a hole in the building.
Once inside the building they attacked an ATM machine and stole a quantity of cash.
The men then left the scene shortly before 3am.
Enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information that may aid the investigation.
Detective Constable David Gerrard of Warrington CID, said: “Enquiries in relation to this incident are in the early stages and we are committed to doing all that we can to trace the people responsible.
“As part of our investigation we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area.
“The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
“I’d urge anyone with any information – no matter how small – to get in touch.”
