Officers investigating reports of theft from a HGV have arrested three men in connection to the incident.
The 23-year-old man from Gomersall, a 23-year-old man from Dewsbury and a 17-year-old boy from Ossett were all arrested on Friday 16 September, on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle and possession of cannabis.
They have since been released under investigation as officers continue with their enquiries.
The arrests follow an incident that occurred at around 3.40am on Friday morning where a number of goods were stolen from an HGV parked at Sandbach Service Station.
Police Constable Dave Carr said: “I hope that that these arrests provide reassurance to local communities however this investigation is ongoing, and we are continuing with our enquiries.
“I urge anyone who was in the area at the time and believes they may have witnessed the incident, or may have information which may aid our investigation, to get in touch.
"The same goes for anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage that may be relevant to our investigation.
“I would also like to encourage HGV drivers staying at services overnight to remain vigilant and to report anything that you believe to be suspicious to Cheshire Police.”
