Police are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a collision in Warrington.
At around 7.50am on Monday 9 October police were called to reports of a collision on Winwick Road, near to McDonalds.
The collision involved a Ford Transit van and a motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 17-year-old teenager from Manchester, sustained serious injuries to his leg and was taken to hospital. His injures are not believed to be life threatening.
The driver of the van was uninjured.
The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident. The road was reopened by around 11.30am.
As part of enquiries into what happened, officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or has any video footage, to come forward.
Sergeant Simon Tickle said:
“This incident occurred at a busy time of the day, when many people will have been making their way to work.
“We’re urging anyone who witnessed the incident to contact us. The same goes for anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage which could aid our enquiries.
