Officers investigating a burglary at a convenience store are appealing for information from the public.
At 11:43pm on Wednesday 15 February, officers were called to reports of suspicious activity at Co-operative Food store on Liverpool Road, Widnes.
The caller reported two men acting suspiciously outside the store.
Both men were described as being of medium build, around 5’ 8”, both were wearing dark clothing and possibly in possession of a crowbar.
Officers attended the scene and there was no trace of the men.
However, they discovered that there had been a burglary at the store and a small amount of cash had been stolen.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information, CCTV or dash cam footage to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Lee Connor said:
“While our enquiries into this burglary are currently ongoing, I am appealing to anyone who has information to please contact us.
“If you were in the area at the time or have any CCTV or dash cam footage, please do not hesitate to get in touch.”
