Officers investigating a burglary in Widnes have released CCTV footage of a man they are looking to identify and are appealing for information from the public.
At 6.16pm on Monday 20 February, officers received reports of a burglary at an address on Springfield Road, Widnes.
Officers attended the scene and found that that a substantial amount of cash, along with watches and jewellery had been stolen.
Police have since released CCTV footage of a man believed to be involved in the incident and are appealing to anyone who recognises the man to get in touch.
Officers are also keen to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time and has any other information, CCTV or dash cam footage that may aid them in their investigation to come forward.
Detective Constable Deborah Carter, said:
“While I understand that, for the local community, this may be a cause of concern, I would like to assure residents that we are doing all we can to identify the person responsible.
“As our investigation into this incident remains on-going, I am appealing to anyone with any information that may aid our investigation to come forward.
“I’m particularly keen to hear from anyone who believes they know the identity of the man in the CCTV image.
“In addition, If you were in the local area or have any CCTV or dash cam footage, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We are also aware of the increasing number of residents using ring doorbells so please, if you have one, review it to see if anything has been captured.”
