Detectives have charged a man in connection to an aggravated burglary at a convenience store in Crewe.
Didar Tarfor Mahmood was arrested on Thursday 2 March, after police were called to reports of an incident at the Crewe Supermarket on Nantwich Road.
The 19-year-old of Sheil Road, Liverpool, has since been charged with Robbery. He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court later today, Friday 3 March.
Enquiries to trace a number of outstanding suspects in relation to the incident remain ongoing and officers are urging anyone with any information which may aid the investigation to get in touch.
Officers are also keen to hear from two customers who were in the store when the incident occurred. The customers were a woman who was believed to be wearing a red coat and a man who was wearing a coat with a furry hood.
