Officers are continuing to appealing for witnesses to come forward following a serious collision in Boughton.
At 4.09pm on 16 January officers were called to the A55 near to Sainsbury’s at Great Boughton following reports that a white Porsche Cayenne had collided with a bridge.
The driver of the car, a 50-year-old local man, sustained serious injuries.
Police have been conducting extensive enquiries since the collision and officers are now appealing specifically for the driver of a white Volkswagen Transporter van that was seen in the area entering the A55 slip road just before the collision to come forward.
Police Constable Alistair Corr said: “The A55 would have had been quite busy at this time and there would have been several drivers who may have seen something that could assist us in establishing the exact circumstances of the incident.
“As such, I would also appeal to anyone who was in the area and may have information that could assist us, to please get in touch. The same goes to anyone who has dashcam footage from the area in the moments before the collision
“We’re particularly are keen to speak to the driver of the white VW transporter that had just been passed by the Porsche at the entrance to the A55 slip road, as we believe that they may have vital information that could assist us as a witness with our investigation.”
Anyone with information is urged to contact Cheshire Police via the Cheshire Police quoting IML 1457704 or call 101.
