Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to an assault in Warrington Town Centre.
At 8.45am on Tuesday 28 February a man in his 20s was walking along Winwick Street when a man approached him and engaged him in conversation. He was then assaulted causing facial injuries.
The suspect was seen walking off towards Warrington Central Train Station.
PC Sam Horton said:
“This appears to have been an unprovoked attack which has left the victim with facial injuries. I’d urge anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV to come forward so that we can progress with our enquiries. I’d also ask the man in the CCTV to contact us.”
