Officers are appealing for information and video footage after a 46-year-old man was seriously injured following a collision in Bewsey and Whitecross.
At around 4.15pm on Friday 14 April, officers were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Priestley Street in Bewsey and Whitecross.
Officers swiftly attended the scene and found that a cyclist had collided with a white Fiat Qubo near the pedestrian crossing on Priestley Street.
The cyclist, a 46-year-old man, is believed to have sustained serious, life threatening, injuries and has been taken to the Walton Centre Hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car, a 50-year-old woman, has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving. She has since been released under investigation.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or has any dashcam or CCTV footage from around the time of the incident to come forward.
