Police are appealing for witnesses following a fail to stop collision involving a pedestrian in Runcorn.
At 6.40pm on Tuesday 13 June a blue or purple Ford Fiesta was travelling along Hospital Way. As it approached KFC a man walking toward KFC appeared to remonstrate with the driver.
The car drove off, did a U-turn and collided with the man as he crossed the road. The car then made off from the scene leaving the seriously injured man, who was subsequently taken to hospital.
DC Nathaniel Walkowiak said:
“I’d urge anyone who witnessed the collision but has not yet spoken to police to contact us. The same goes for anyone who was driving in this area at around 6.40pm and has captured the incident on dashcam footage.”
Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website quoting IML 1571510. Alternatively information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
