Officers investigating the disorder at the Chester FC versus Brackley Town football match have renewed their CCTV appeal for people they are looking to speak to.
Following the conclusion of the game on Sunday 7 May 2023, a large number of Chester supporters entered the pitch, attempting to gain access to the away supporters stand.
During the incident a number of missiles were thrown towards the Brackley Town fans and onto the pitch.
As part of their enquiries into the incident, officers have issued CCTV images of people that they would like to speak to in relation to the disorder.
Police Constable James Wright from Chester Proactive Team, said:
“The behaviour of some of the fans following the match was unprovoked and was totally unacceptable.
“Since the incident we’ve been working closely with Chester Football Club to identify the people responsible.
“As part of our ongoing enquiries we’re keen to speak to the men in the CCTV images and I would ask anyone who recognises them to get in touch.
“I would also like to appeal directly to the men in the images to come forward and speak to me directly.
“Anyone with any information should contact Cheshire Police on 101, or tell us via the Cheshire Police website, quoting IML 1539302.”
Information can also be reported anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
