Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following a burglary at a building site in Daresbury where £27,000 worth of equipment was stolen.
At around 9.30am on Monday 14 August, officers responded to reports of a burglary at a building site near the Daresbury Expressway Bridge, Runcorn.
Officers attended the scene on Keckwick Lane, Runcorn, and found that an unknown number of offenders had forcibly gained access into a large metal container and several pieces of high-value building equipment, including a Leicia laser level, thought to be worth around £27,000.
The incident is believed to have occurred sometime between the afternoon of Saturday 12 August and 9am of Monday 14 August.
Detective Constable Adam Murdoch, of CID Proactive North, said:
“Our enquiries are ongoing, and we would urge anyone who witnessed this incident or saw anything suspicious to get in touch with us.
“The same goes for anyone with dashcam footage or CCTV which might aid our investigation.
