On Friday 11 August, shortly before 8pm, police were called following reports of a 47-year-old man being found with a serious head injury near to the junction of Heath Road and Boston Avenue, Runcorn.
He was in possession of a grey electrically assisted pedal cycle.
Officers and paramedics attended, and the man was taken to hospital. Sadly, the man has since passed away from his injuries.
As part of enquiries, officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

“Sadly, the man involved in this incident has died as a result of his injuries.
“He was last seen riding an electric pedal cycle on Langdale Road.
“If anyone witnessed this incident, or believes they saw the man nearby before he was found, we would urge them to contact us.
“We would also like to hear from anyone with any CCTV or dashcam footage which may help us build a picture about his movements prior to this incident.”
