Shortly after 4.55pm on Monday 26 August, three youths were in Whitbarrow Road, Lymm, when they were approached by an adult male.
There was then an altercation, in which the man threatened the youths. He then walked away from the scene.
Officers have now released an image of a man they would like to speak to in relation to the incident as they believe he may hold vital information.
DC Rebecca Jubb said:
“Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident took place.
“We would now like to appeal to anyone who may recognise the man in these CCTV images to get in touch with us.
“We would also like to appeal directly to the man pictured to make contact.”
