Officers are appealing for witnesses and footage following a collision in Runcorn.
At around 7.02pm on Sunday 8 December officers in Runcorn responded to reports of a road traffic collision on Palacefields Avenue.
The caller reported that the collision occurred between a white Peugeot Partner van and a red electric off road motorcycle.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 22-year-old man from Runcorn, was taken to Aintree Hospital with serious injuries, where he remains at this time. His injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Peugeot, a 35-year-old local man, was uninjured.
Police are now appealing for witnesses and anyone who may have any dashcam or CCTV footage from around the time of the incident to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Simon Degg, of the Force's Roads and Crime Unit, said:
“Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding this incident and we are now looking for anyone who witnessed what happened or may have dashcam footage to come forward.
