Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage after a boy was seriously assaulted in Northwich.
At around 5.30pm on Saturday 7 December, police were called to reports of an assault on Woodpecker Drive, Northwich.
Officers attended and found that a 15-year-old boy had sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital for treatment, and is now recovering at home.
A 15-year-old boy from the Northwich area was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent. He has since been released on bail.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances of the incident, with officers appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Detective Inspector Ross Hamilton said: "As part of our investigation we’re keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any video footage.
"Anyone with information should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via the website quoting IML 1979593."
