Detectives are appealing for witnesses and video footage following a serious collision in Widnes.
Shortly after 5pm on Thursday 27 February, police were called to reports of a collision on the westbound carriageway of the A562 Speke Road, between Ditton Road and Hale Road.
Police and paramedics attended the scene and on arrival they found there had been a collision between a HGV, a silver Renault Megane and a red and white motorbike.
The rider of the motorbike, a 40-year-old man from Liverpool, sustained serious injuries and he was taken to Aintree Hospital where he remains at this time.
There were no reports of any other injuries.
Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing and officers are keen to hear from anyone with any information or video footage which may aid their investigation.
