Police investigating an assault in Sandbach are appealing for any witnesses to get in touch with them.
On Wednesday 20 December, police were made aware of reports of a suspicious incident in Hind Heath Road.
At around 3.30am a man had been driving along the road when his vehicle was overtaken by what is believed to have been a black Audi A3.
The vehicle stopped in front of the man’s car and two suspects exited the vehicle. The man was then assaulted causing serious injuries.
One of the suspects was described as male, black, approximately 6’ tall, wearing a black balaclava and a black tracksuit.
The other suspect was described as male, of Asian origin, approximately 5’ 8” tall, wearing a black balaclava, a black hoody, and black tracksuit bottoms.
Enquiries are currently ongoing and as part of this, officers would like anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch.
DS Keith Graham said:
“Firstly, we would like to reassure the community that this is believed to be an isolated incident, and we are working to identify those responsible.
“We are now urging anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has any CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch with us, to aid our investigation.
“The same goes for anyone who witnessed anything suspicious around the time of this incident or saw a vehicle in the area matching the description of the one which is believed to have been involved.
