Officers investigating an attempted robbery in Ellesmere Port are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
On Wednesday 20 March, police were called to reports of an incident in Whitby Park.
The caller described that at approximately 8.25pm that evening, he was walking through the park when he was confronted by two men who made threats towards him before chasing him from the area.
The two male suspects were described as black, and were wearing balaclavas. One was wearing a grey tracksuit while the other was wearing dark trousers, a black jumper, and a hoodie. One is believed to have been holding an axe or hammer.
DC Max Jones said:
“Enquiries are ongoing in relation to this incident, and we would now like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed what happened or who believes they saw the two men in the area.
“The same goes for anyone who believes they have any footage which could aid the investigation.”
