At around 1.40am on Wednesday 1 November, police were called to reports of a burglary at a commercial premises in Leslie Road on the Woodford Park Industrial Estate.
Officers attended and initial enquiries suggest three suspects attended the industrial estate at around 9.40pm on Tuesday 31 October, leaving at around 1.50am on Wednesday 1 November.
During this time, they are believed to have targeted a total of five premises along Leslie Road and Browning Way.
A quantity of cash has been stolen, as well as keys to vans, and a CCTV hard drive. Damage has also been caused to a number of the premises.
A search was carried out using a police drone and three suspects were seen to flee from the area, travelling in the direction of the Mount Pleasant estate and the Woodford Grange estate, before making off into fields off Woodford Lane West.
The suspects remain outstanding. Enquiries are currently ongoing and as part of their investigation, officers are asking anyone who saw anything suspicious around the time of the incidents to get in touch with them.
PC Dean Butterworth said:
“We understand this incident will be concerning to residents in the area, but we would like to reassure people that we are doing everything we can to trace those responsible.
“As part of our investigation, we would like to hear from anyone who witnessed anything suspicious in the area during the late evening of Tuesday 31 October and the early hours of Wednesday 1 November.
“The incident took place near many residential areas, so we would ask people to check their video doorbell or CCTV footage for anything which may aid our enquiries.”
