Detectives investigating an attempted murder in Widnes are appealing for assistance from the public to help aid their enquiries.
At around 2.30am on Monday 1 January, police were called to reports of a stabbing outside The Venue in Victoria Square, Widnes.
Police attended the scene and found a 20-year-old man had suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital where he remains at this time.
A 20-year-old woman from Widnes was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has since been released on bail.
Enquiries are currently ongoing and as part of the investigation, officers are looking to speak to 43-year-old Conor McQuade from Widnes, as they believe he may hold vital information.
Detective Inspector Alison White said:
“Our investigation is in its early stages and as part of our enquiries, we are looking to speak to Conor McQuade.
“Anyone with any information as to his whereabouts should contact us via our website at cheshire.police.uk/tell-us or 101, quoting IML-1725543.
“If anyone sees him, they are advised not to approach him and dial 999.
“We are also urging any witnesses to this incident or anyone who has any further information which could aid our investigation to get in touch with us through our website or 101.
