The family of a 54-year-old man who died following a collision in Betchton have paid tribute to him.
Stephen Andrew, from Hassall Green, was the pedestrian involved in a collision with a Ford Fusion car shortly after 6pm on Thursday 28 November.
He sustained serious injuries as a result of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
His family, who are being supported by specialist officers, said: “Stephen was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and son.
“He loved Manchester United FC, darts and played dominoes for a local team and will be missed by family and friends.”
The collision occurred on New Inn Lane in Betchton, which is between Sandbach and Alsager.
The driver of the car stopped at the scene.
Police enquiries in relation to the incident are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
Officers want to hear from anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information or dashcam footage which may aid the investigation.
