Man charged following serious assault in Warrington

A 19-year-old man from Warrington has been charged following a serious assault in the town.
Owen Moores of Leicester Street, was arrested in Warrington at around 11.30am on Thursday 19 December.
He has subsequently been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
The charges relate to an incident in Wellfield Street that occurred shortly after 1.15pm on Wednesday 18 December.
A 20-year-old man from Warrington sustained a serious puncture wound as a result of the incident.
He was taken to hospital in an ambulance.
His condition is described as stable.
Moores appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Friday 20 December.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 20 December.
