A 25-year-old man from Macclesfield has been charged following a robbery at a sports bar in the town.
The incident occurred at around 1.15am on Sunday 5 January.
A quantity of cash was stolen during the robbery at The Elbow Room sports bar in Wood Street, Macclesfield.
Officers subsequently conducted a search in the town, aided by a police helicopter.
Niall Wilde, of Arley Close, was arrested in connection with the incident at around 3.20am on Sunday 5 January.
He was arrested in Ivy Road, Macclesfield, and has subsequently been charged with robbery.
Wilde appeared at Crewe Magistrates’ Court on Monday 6 January.
He has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 3 February.
