A man from Widnes has been charged following two burglary offences in the town.
David Power, of no fixed address, was arrested in Dickson Close at around 10.45am on Saturday 29 February.
The 37-year-old has since been charged with two counts of burglary.
The charges relate to burglaries at Appleton Village Pharmacy and at Halton Gas on Deacon Road.
Power has also been charged with assaulting an emergency service worker, causing criminal damage to a police vehicle and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
He appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court on Monday 2 March.
Power was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday 30 March.
