Two men have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in connection with an incident in Warrington.
Aaron Bretherton, aged 23, of Netherfield Road South in Liverpool and 25-year-old Lewis Fitzpatrick, of Eldersfield Road in Liverpool, have been remanded in custody.
Bretherton has also been charged with possession of a prohibited firearm, ammunition and possession of controlled drugs with intent to supply.
They are due to appear at Warrington Magistrates Court on Friday 8 May.
The charges relates to an incident at 8.50pm on Friday 24 April when a number of shots were fired outside an address on Poplars Avenue in Orford.
A 55-year-old man sustained serious injuries to his leg and he remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Bretherton and Fitzpatrick were arrested at separate addresses in Liverpool on Wednesday 6 May and were subsequently charged on Thursday 7 May.
On Tuesday 28 April 22-year-old Anthony Morris was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm.
Morris has been remanded and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Wednesday 27 May.
