A 33-year-old man has been charged with four offences after a member of the public reported seeing someone acting suspiciously on Birchfield Road in Widnes.
Marshall Tung, of no fixed address, was arrested in Lowerhouse Lane in Widnes soon after police received the report.
He was arrested shortly after 12 midnight on Thursday 10 September and has since been charged with a public order offence in relation to the incident.
Tung has also been charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, as well as burglary.
The burglary charge relates to an incident at a domestic property in George Street, Liverpool, which occurred on the weekend starting on Saturday 4 July.
Tung appeared at Warrington Magistrates’ Court, via a video link, on Friday 11 September.
He was remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday 9 October.
