Man arrested in connection to Northwich stabbing

Detectives investigating a stabbing outside a gym in Northwich have arrested a man in relation to the incident.

​Shortly after 7pm on Thursday 23 September police were called to reports of an incident outside Pure Gym on Leicester Street. Officers attended the scene and found that a 20-year-old man from Winsford had been stabbed.

The man was taken to Aintree hospital for treatment and is now recovering at home.

​Following enquires officers have now arrested a 47-year-old man from Wigan in relation to the incident.

​The man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently being questioned by officers in police custody.
