Detectives investigating a series of high-value thefts across Cheshire have charged two people.
Edward Warde, of Warrington Road, Runcorn, was arrested on Tuesday 26 October.
The 35-year-old has since been charged with assault by beating, driving while disqualified and theft from a shop.
A 14-year-old boy, also from the Runcorn area, has been charged with theft from a shop.
The pair are both set to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court later today, Thursday 28 October.
The charges relates to a number of incidents across Cheshire involving the theft of cigarettes from retail stores.
