Detectives investigating a serious assault in Chester have charged a man in connection by the incident.
At around 9.50pm on Saturday 3 July police were called to reports of an altercation in the toilets at a hotel on Milton Street.
Officers attended the scene and found a 59-year-old man from Chester had sustained serious injuries.
The man was taken to hospital where he is currently recovering.
A 30-year-old man from Merseyside was arrested at the scene in connection with the incident.
Plumb Hysa has since been charged with section 18 wounding with intent and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Hysa of Ash Street, Bootle, has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates’ Court later today, Monday 5 July.
