A man who was arrested in connection with a racist social media message posted following the Euro 2020 final has been charged.
Scott McCluskey, aged 43, of Blyth Course in Runcorn, has been ordered to appear at Warrington Magistrates’ Court at 12pm on Wednesday 8 September. He has been charged with sending an offensive/ abusive message by a public communication network.
The charge relates to a message which was posted on Facebook on Monday 12 July – the day after England lost to Italy in the Euro 2020 final at Wembley.
