Man charged and drugs seized following vehicle stop in Macclesfield

A man has been charged with drug offences following a vehicle stop in Macclesfield.
At around 11.30am on Tuesday 1 March, officers stopped a grey BMW on Silk Road.
A quantity of drugs and cash were discovered.
Mathew Ferguson, 24, of no fixed address but from Salford, was arrested and subsequently charged with three counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine, crack cocaine and heroin), possession of criminal property, dangerous driving, failing to stop, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and theft.
He was remanded into custody to appear at Chester Magistrates' Court on Wednesday 2 March.
He has been further remanded to appear at Chester Crown Court on 30 March.
