Officers from Cheshire Police have charged a man following an arson attack outside a nightclub in Runcorn.
John Kirk was arrested on Sunday 6 March following an incident in the Old Town area.
The 34-year-old, of the Hove, Runcorn, has since been charged with arson with intent to endanger life.
Kirk has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at North Cheshire Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 7 March.
The charge relates to an incident that occurred shortly after 2am on Sunday 6 March when a flammable object was thrown outside a nightclub on High Street.
There were no reports of any injuries and no damage was caused to any buildings.
