A man from Widnes has been charged with drug offences.
Tyrone Grimes, of Bell House Road, was arrested at around 1.30pm on Wednesday 11 May after being stopped by officers in a vehicle on Hale Road in the town.
The 25-year-old was taken into custody for questioning before being charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and assaulting a police officer.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates Court today (Thursday 12 May).
