The family of a woman who died following a collision in Chester have paid tribute to her.
At 8.16am on Monday 11 December, police were called to reports of a collision on Cherry Grove Road, Chester.
The collision involved a pedal cyclist and a silver Mercedes Sprinter van and occurred close to the junction with Tarvin Road.
The cyclist, 56-year-old Felicity Hughes from Chester, was taken to hospital but sadly died from her injuries a short time later.
Her family paid tribute to her on Monday:
“Felicity died earlier today, and her family and friends are devastated.
“She was a wonderful person who was known to many as a joyful and caring lady.
“She will be truly missed.”
A 48-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has since been released under investigation.
Enquiries remain ongoing and anyone who witnessed the incident, has any CCTV or dashcam footage, or any other information which could aid the investigation, are urged to contact Cheshire Police.
