Four men arrested following burglary at city centre store

Officers in Chester have arrested four men following a burglary at a retail store in the city centre.
Shortly before 3am on Friday 21 July, officers responded to reports of a burglary at a commercial property on Northgate Street.
Officers attended the scene on and found four men had forcibly gained access to the premises and stole a number of food items.
A search of the surrounding area was quickly conducted, with officers locating and arresting all four of the men within 17 minutes of the initial report.
The four men, aged 36, 32, 30 and 29, have been arrested on suspicion of burglary other than a dwelling. They remain in custody at this time.
Inspector James Wilson, of Chester Local Policing Unit said:
“I understand the concern that incidents of this nature can cause, and I hope that the swift arrest of the four suspects in this case will provide some reassurance to the local residents and the business community.”
