Police investigating a sudden death in Ellesmere Port are not treating the death as suspicious.
Officers were called to reports of concerns for the welfare of a man on Church Street at 3.45am on Wednesday 2 August.
Police and paramedics attended, and sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The circumstances of the death are not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The next of kin of the 47-year-old from Ellesmere Port have been informed.
