A man has been charged with drugs offences following a police stop check on the M6.
At around 11pm on Saturday 30 December, officers from the Roads and Crime Unit stopped a black Audi A5 on the M6 between junction 19 and 20.
Following a search of the car, the driver, Hamza Niazi, of High Road, Turnford, was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences.
The 31-year-old has since been charged with possession with intent to supply Class B drugs (ketamine), and possession of criminal property.
He was remanded in custody and is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Tuesday 30 January.
