A man from Widnes has been jailed after pleading guilty to multiple offences.
Kieran Gallagher, aged 28, of Cherry Sutton, Widnes was sentenced to 44 months in prison on 15 November 2024 at Liverpool Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class B drugs (cannabis), two counts of possession of Class A drugs (cocaine), possession of a Class B Drug (Cannabis), racially aggravated harassment with fear of violence, racial harassment without fear of violence, threatening a person in public with a weapon, harassment with fear of violence, harassment without fear of violence and criminal damage.
This followed his arrest on 18 September 2024 when he was spotted on Cherry Sutton, Widnes by officers from Widnes Proactive CID.
At the time Gallagher was wanted on wanted for other matters and was cycling across Hough Green Road before seeing officers and abandoning the bike - making off on foot before being detained and arrested.
When searched Gallagher was found to be in possession of a large amount of cannabis, a quantity of cocaine, a ‘burner’ style mobile phone and a quantity of cash.
Gallagher was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply and possession of cocaine and was remanded into custody.
Gallagher was also convicted of racially aggravated harassment and criminal damage in relation to the warrants carried out following his arrest as well as the offences he was wanted for.
Police Constable Chris Nicholls staid:
“Gallagher believed that he could not only evade justice in relation to a previous investigation, but also commit serious offences whilst wanted. Officers from Widnes Local Policing Unit will not allow this to happen and will continue to work tirelessly to locate and arrest such offenders and bring them to justice.”
