Three family members have been jailed for selling drugs in Warrington.
Robbie Renwick, 33, and his mother, Angela Sparrow, 58, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on Friday 16 February where they were sentenced for their involvement in a family run drug enterprise.
Robbie Renwick received three years in prison and Angela Sparrow was sentenced to 32 months in prison.
Angela Sparrow’s daughter, Terri Anne Renwick, 32, appeared at an earlier hearing where she was sentenced to seven years behind bars, this was following her, and her mother Angela Sparrow being found guilty following a 7 day trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
The case relates to the sale and distribution of Class A drugs between Wednesday 22 February 2023 and Wednesday 5 July 2023.
Officers had been investigating phone numbers linked to the supply of cocaine into the Warrington area and enquiries established that Robbie Renwick and Terri Anne Renwick were using phones to advertise the sale of Class A drugs.
Terri Anne Renwick and Angela Sparrow were observed during what officers believed to be a drug deal On Monday 3 July 2023, with a local drug user on Gough Avenue, Warrington, one of many.
On Wednesday 5 July 2023, officers carried out warrants at Robbie Renwick’s address on Vulcan Close, Warrington and Sparrow and Terrie Renwick’s address on Rendlesham Close, Warrington.
A quantity of Class A drugs, drug paraphernalia and graft phones were recovered following searches of their addresses.
The investigation led officers to conclude Robbie Renwick and Terri Anne Renwick played significant roles in the drug supply, while their mother Angela Sparrow facilitated the supply by her role in being the courier for the family run drug supply.
All three were subsequently charged with the offences of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs (cocaine) over a significant time period.
Detective Inspector Robert Balfour, of Cheshire Constabulary’s Serious and Organised Crime Unit, said: “All three members of this family are now behind bars and their illegal drugs have been taken off the streets. This is just one of many investigations we continue to carry out, to starve the supply of drugs into the Warrington area and across the county.
“We are relentless in our pursuit to rid Cheshire of illegal drug activity and will continue to investigate, and bring to justice, those intent on causing misery in our communities through peddling harmful illegal drugs.”
