Drug dealers sentenced following police stop check in Widnes

Two drug dealers from Widnes who were arrested following a police stop check have been sentenced.
Jordan Brook, 31, from Fulbeck, Widnes appeared at Liverpool Crown Court on 12 March to be sentenced after pleading guilty at an earlier hearing to possession with intent to supply class A drugs (cocaine), possession with intent to supply class B drugs (cannabis), being concerned in the supply of class A drugs other (DMT), and being concerned in the supply class A drugs (MDMA). He was jailed for 28 months and ordered to pay £190 surcharge.
Katie Rees, 31, from Frederick Street, Widnes appeared at Warrington Magistrates on 14 March to be sentenced after pleading guilty to being concerned in the supply class B drugs (cannabis) and possession of cannabis at an earlier hearing. She was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. She was also ordered to pay £120 court costs, ordered to forfeit the drugs for destruction, undergo rehabilitation, and carry out 200 hours of unpaid work.
The pair’s illegal activity came to an abrupt end at 4.40am on 29 May 2022 when police on patrol in Widnes stopped a white Audi A4 in Hale Road due to the erratic driving of the driver. Brook was behind the wheel even though he was disqualified from driving and uninsured. The car was registered and insured to Rees. Brooks was arrested for the driving offences.
A search of Brook uncovered a vial of cocaine, two mobile phones and a dealer book. He was then further arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
A search of the car revealed mobile phones, a tub of Xanax, wraps of white powder, snapbag of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and cash.
