A man has appeared in court in relation to drugs offences in Northwich.
On Thursday 4 April, officers from Northwich Proactive and Beat teams executed a warrant at an address on Hesketh Drive and recovered a quantity of class A drugs, cash, and weapons.
Richard Grainger, 46, of Hesketh Drive, Lostock Gralam, was arrested.
He was subsequently charged with possession of a class A drug (cocaine and diamorphine), and possession of criminal property.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Friday 5 April where he pleaded guilty to the offences.
He has been remanded in custody to be sentenced at Chester Crown Court on Friday 3 May.
Detective Sergeant John Lyons said:
“Thanks to the evidence against Grainger he has pleaded guilty at the first opportunity.
“The dangers of drugs are well known and I hope the charges secured against him will provide some reassurance to the community that we take offences of this nature seriously.”
