Police have charged a 25-year-old man following an investigation into an attempted robbery at a Crewe convenience store.
At 6.33pm on Wednesday 8 May police were called to the store in Wistaston Road in Crewe following a report of an attempt to take cash from the shop.
The suspect left the store empty handed.
Callum Gibbs, from Stamford Avenue in Crewe was charged with attempted robbery, possession of a knife and threatening a person with a weapon in a public place.
He appeared at Chester Magistrates on 10 May and will next appear at Chester Crown Court on 7 June.
