A man has been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following a warrant in Winsford.
On Tuesday 10 September, officers from the Winsford Beat team executed a warrant at an address in Weaver Street. This was following intelligence received in relation to drugs offences.
Officers seized a quantity of class B drugs (cannabis) during the warrant and other drug dealing paraphernalia.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs. He has since been released under investigation.
Inspector David Levins said:
“This warrant forms part of our ongoing efforts to tackle illegal drugs offences in Winsford and we hope this will provide reassurance to residents in the area that we are committed to dealing with this problem head-on.
“Drugs are a huge drain on our communities, so cracking down on those responsible is always one of our priorities.
“But we cannot solve this problem alone. I would appeal to anyone who has any information about illegal drug activity or any other criminal activity taking place in their communities to contact us on 101, via the website, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
