Shortly before 2pm on Tuesday 24 September police were called to reports that a Silver VW Crafter had been stolen on Sandy Lane.
Officers attended and following a search of the area the vehicle was located at Heritage Marina.
Following further enquiries, two men were arrested nearby and have since been charged in connection with the incident.
Leon Crawford, 45, of Didsbury Close, Northwood, Kirkby, and Matthew Tyrer, 50, of West Street, Congleton, have both since been charged with theft of a vehicle and driving while disqualified.
Both men have been released on bail and are set to appear at Crewe Magistrates Court on Friday 1 November.
