A man from Merseyside has been charged with in relation to the kidnap and robbery of a man in Runcorn.
Joseph Waters was arrested at Manchester Airport on Tuesday 21 January by officers from Cheshire Police.
The 28-year-old has since been charged with kidnap, robbery, possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs (cocaine and Ketamine) and being concerned in the supply Class A and B drugs (cocaine and Ketamine).
The robbery and kidnap charges relate to an incident which started in Runcorn on Thursday 29 September 2022.
The drugs charges relate to the search of an address in Liverpool on Saturday 1 October 2022.
Waters, of Abbeyvale Drive, Liverpool, appeared at Warrington Magistrates Court on Tuesday 21 January where he was remanded in custody.
He is next set to appear at Warrington Crown Court on Tuesday 18 February 2025.
