A new Chief Inspector has taken the reins at Northwich Local Policing Unit (LPU).
Matt Charnock, who previously worked in the Resource Management Unit (RMU), succeeds Chief Inspector Leeroy Moss.
Chief Inspector Matt Charnock began his career with Cheshire Police in 2012, and since joining the force has undertaken a number of roles within the organisation.
He started as a response officer in the north of the county before progressing to become a detective prior to being promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Matt also worked in the Force Control Centre as a Sergeant and Inspector and most recently was Head of the Resource Management Unit.
Speaking about becoming Chief Inspector for Northwich Local Policing Unit, Matt said:
“I am honoured and excited to be taking over as the Commander for Northwich LPU and I look forward to building on the work already done by the team here at Northwich.
“Over the past year the team have achieved some fantastic results, securing hundreds of charges and convictions for offenders from across Northwich and Winsford.
“The team have undertaken a vast amount of proactive work to help tackle crime and ASB across the area”.
