Detectives investigating an incident where a man was savagely attacked by a dog in Warrington have now charged a man in relation to the incident.
Sean Garner was arrested on Wednesday 26 February following the incident on Monday 24 February where an 84-year-old man was attacked by a dog on Bardsley Avenue.
The 30-year-old of Bardsley Avenue, Warrington, has since been charged with one count of being the owner of a dog dangerously out of control causing serious injury and one count of possession of a fighting dog.
Garner appeared at Chester Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 27 February where he was released on conditional bail. He is next set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Thursday 27 March.
A 29-year-old woman who was arrested as part of the investigation has been released on conditional bail.
The victim remains in hospital at this time where his condition is described as critical.
