A cannabis grower has been jailed after local officers acting on information searched a house in Crewe.
Ilir Mucmata, of no fixed address, appeared at Chester Crown Court on 18 February to be sentenced after pleading guilty to producing cannabis.
The 56-year-old was jailed for 12 months and the plants and equipment ordered for destruction.
On Monday 20 January officers from Crewe Local Policing Unit executed a warrant at an address in Goode Way in Crewe.
Officers found 100 plants, growing equipment and scales. Mucmata was arrested at the scene.
PC Justin Taylor said:
“This is another good example of the work we are doing in our community to rid the streets of illegal drugs and protect people from the harm and the crime that comes with illegal drug activity.”
